Lights! Camera! Action!

A&E’s new docudrama "Heavy" follows twenty-two individuals facing extreme life-threatening health consequences as a result of their obesity.  The first several episodes take place in Houston, TX.  More importantly, the rest take place in Hilton Head, SC.

Why is that more important?  You'll see.

Our very own Johanna Smith-Ellis, M.Ed, C.A.S., is a presenter and facilitator at Hilton Head Health.  She is a Certified School Psychologist and Counselor in private practice whose special interests include depression and anxiety, alcoholism, and both attention and eating disorders.

If you catch an episode of "Heavy" that takes place in SC you should know this: Johanna is the show psychologist.  She's a star!  Tune in Mondays 10/9c on A&E to track Johanna’s on-screen appearances and watch as she gives the men and women the tools and support they need to regain control of their eating.

Johanna is a fellow UVM graduate from Auburn, NY.  Keep your eyes peeled for a celebrity sighting near you!

NY2011RESOLUTIONS

It's February and I finally have some solid resolutions:

Give More Handwritten Letters & Cards
I much prefer typing because my handwriting is atrocious.  But after receiving several handwritten notes this past year I realize how important they are.

Master the Art of Homemade Chili
I'm absolutely committed.  This will happen.

Finish the Unfinished
From small craft project to big business ideas it's time to wrap 'em up and ship 'em out.

Paint 3 New Paintings
Three is a reasonable number.  I love to paint.  I just need to do it more.

Stop Biting My Cheek
This ugly habit comes and goes but I want it gone for good.  It's time.

Travel Somewhere New
It's always satisfying to put something on the list that can be checked off quickly.  By starting the year off on the right foot I find the confidence helps me power through the rest of the list.  I've never been to Lake Tahoe so this accomplishment is fast approaching.

Jump on Every Opportunity to be Extra Kind and Generous
I feel like a better person just thinking about this one.

That's my list. What's yours?
